Privacy Policy

We collect only what is needed to operate the spotlight:

• The public details you submit for a bid: display name, Instagram/YouTube handles, website and optional video links.
• Your bid amount and a payment reference from our gateway (never your full card/UPI details).
• Anonymous usage signals: a short-lived session identifier for the “online now” count and a cookie to count unique visitors once.
• Basic technical data (such as a hashed request fingerprint) used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not require or store login credentials because there is no login.

We use a small number of first-party cookies strictly to run the site — for example, to count each visitor only once. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payments are processed by a third-party gateway that is responsible for handling your financial information under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations. We receive only a reference confirming the payment.

Bid and leaderboard information may be retained to display historical rankings. Presence records used for the “online now” count are transient and cleared automatically.

To ask about, correct, or remove the public details associated with a bid, email support.overbid@gmail.com. Note that removing a live spotlight does not entitle you to a refund.
